드문 색이다.
가운데 한 그루 나무가
굵게 솟아 섰다.
나무는
한 손으로는 떠나는 이를 보내고,
한 손으로는 남겨진 이를 붙든다.
나무는 떠날 수 없어
모든 이별을 지켜본다.
수없이 보냈고,
수없이 품었다.
떠나는 것을 배웅하고,
남은 슬픔을 품는 것.
그것이 이 나무가
평생 해온 일이다.
굵은 몸통은
그 세월의 두께다.

An image steeped entirely in blue.
A rare color.
At the center, a single tree
rises with a strong trunk.
The tree,
with one hand, sends off the one who leaves,
and with the other, holds the one left behind.
Because the tree cannot leave,
it watches every parting.
To see off what departs,
and to hold the grief that remains.
Perhaps that is what this tree
has done all its life.
