눈을 가렸다.
차마 볼 수 없었던 것이다.
아래로
작은 배가 검은 물을 건넌다.
마른 나무가 손을 뻗는다.
달은 끝내
눈을 가린 채
그 밤을 비춘다.
가린 것은
외면이 아니다.
차마 볼 수 없을 만큼
오래 보아온 것이다.
보지 않아도,
슬픔은 사라지지 않는다.
그래도 달은
그 밤을 떠나지 않았다.
English
The moon raises both its arms
and covers its eyes.
It cannot bear to look.
Below,
a small boat crosses the black water.
A bare tree reaches out its hand.
The moon, to the end,
with its eyes still covered,
lights that night.
Even unseen, sorrow does not vanish.
