바다와 하늘을 가른다.
멀리 작은 배 한 척,
물가에는 낚싯대를 든 사람 하나.
그러나 줄은 없다.
잡으려는 것이
없기 때문이다.
낚싯대는 핑계다.
그는 고기를 기다리는 것이 아니라
바다를 바라볼
까닭 하나를 들고 있을 뿐이다.
기다림은

A thin line
divides the sea and the sky.
Far away, a small boat;
at the water's edge, a person holding a fishing rod.
But there is no line.
Because there is nothing to catch.
Waiting
is not a time for gaining something.
It is to leave the heart for a long time
turned toward what does not come.
And so waiting is long,
and longer still.
