The wind swept across the field.
The thatched house collapsed to one side,
and the stone wall lost its shape.
Far away, beneath the horizon,
an old figure and a horse stand leaning on each other.
The house could not protect the person,
but the person and the horse
are still protecting one another.
Even when the place of return has fallen,
if one presence remains beside us,
life begins again.
