조각배 한 척의 운명 앞에
하늘은 울음을 머금고
내려다본다.
집 안의 사람은
차마 보지 못해 웅크리고,
곶 위의 말은
떠도는 배에서
눈을 떼지 못한다.
세상에서 가장 큰 것들이
가장 작은 것 하나를
어쩌지 못해
숨을 죽인다.
힘으로는
바다가 배를 삼킬 수 있다.
그러나 마음으로는
그 배 하나를 어쩌지 못해
하늘이 운다.
작은 존재 하나 앞에서
바다도, 하늘도, 땅도
아무것도 하지 못한다.
바람 앞에서 온 세계가

The sea rises up.
Before the fate of a single skiff,
the sky, holding back its tears,
looks down.
The figure inside the house,
unable to bear the sight, crouches,
and the horse on the cape
cannot take its eyes
off the drifting boat.
The greatest things in the world,
unable to do anything
before the smallest one,
hold their breath.
By force,
the sea could swallow the boat.
But at heart,
unable to do anything for that one boat,
the sky weeps.
Before a single small being,
the sea, the sky, the earth
can do nothing.
Before the wind, the whole world,
for one moment,
stops breathing.
