Between departure and return, he quietly gazes at the Fūdo. The sea here is still
blue, and the mountains and the sky shimmer faintly. The color has not yet dried.
Before all light would one day sink into the color of dry grass, the painter first had
to gaze for a long time at the place to which he had returned. The horse stands
before its homeland. With a body that has come back, carrying a heart that has not
yet come home.
