작은 둔덕 위에 한 살림이 다 있다.
집과 나무, 말과 강아지, 그리고 사람.
사람이 허리를 굽혀 가장 작은 것을 맞고, 나무는 집 쪽으로 굽고, 말은 곁에서 풀을
뜯는다.
화면 안의 모든 것이 조금씩 굽어, 서로를 향한다.
멀리 배 한 척이 아직 바다에 있지만, 이 둔덕은 그 한 척이 돌아올 따뜻한 자리다.
돌아오는 이에게 필요한 것은 큰 마을이 아니다. 이렇게 서로 굽은 채 기다리는, 작은
둔덕 하나다.

On a small hillock, a whole household is gathered.
A house and a tree,
a horse and a puppy,
and a person.
The person bends at the waist to greet the smallest one;
the tree bends toward the house,
and the horse grazes nearby.
Everything in the picture
bends a little, turning toward one another.
Far off, a single boat is still at sea,
but this hillock is the warm place to which that one boat will return.
