화가는 묻지 않는다
다만 그 지식을
황토와 녹빛으로 옮긴다
500년의 이야기는
한 장의 화면 위에서
지금도 숨 쉬고 있다

Sitting at Seungjaejeong,
I listen to five hundred years of history.
The tree knows
what happened at this spot.
The pavilion knows
how many times the rain has fallen.
The painter does not ask.
He only translates that knowledge
into ochre and green.
Five hundred years of stories
still breathe
upon a single canvas.
