Sitting at Seungjaejeong, I listen to five hundred years of history. The tree knows what happened at this spot. The pavilion knows how many times the rain has fallen. The painter does not ask. He only translates that knowledge into ochre and green. Five hundred years of stories still breathe upon a single canvas.

승재정에 앉아 500년의 역사를 듣는다 나무는 알고 있다 이 자리에서 무슨 일이 있었는지를 정자는 알고 있다 비가 몇 번 내렸는지를 화가는 묻지 않는다 다만 그 지식을 황토와 녹빛으로 옮긴다 500년의 이야기는 한 장의 화면 위에서 지금도 숨 쉬고 있다
