    Submit documentation

    Submit front, back and side photographs, provenance, condition report and applicant identification.

  2. Stage 02

    Preliminary review

    Completeness is checked and additional material may be requested.

  3. Stage 03

    Specialist examination

    Style, material, signature and provenance are examined; direct or scientific examination may follow.

  4. Stage 04

    Committee review

    The committee decides on authentication, non-authentication or the need for further research.

  5. Stage 05

    Notification

    The conclusion is communicated as professional opinion rather than legal warranty.

  6. Stage 06

    Certificate

    An authenticated work may receive a certificate from the foundation.
