Sunset

석양

Sunset over Seogwipo. The first horizon seen by one who had abandoned everything to come here. In that golden light, the painter understood why he had come. Light does not disappear— it moves elsewhere. As today's sunset becomes tomorrow's sunrise somewhere, as the painter's Seoul returns as Jeju's ochre.
