풍파
Pungpa — wind and wave.
Wind makes waves.
Waves make wind.
Cause and effect
each becoming the cause of the other—
that is life.
In the midst of wind and wave,
the painter lifted his brush.
Both waves and wind
were on his side.
Because they were
what made him.
