풍파
Storm and Wave
풍파(風波) — 바람과 파도
바람이 파도를 만들고
파도가 바람을 만든다
원인과 결과가
서로의 원인이 되는 것
그것이 삶이다
화가는 풍파 속에서
붓을 들었다
파도도 바람도
그의 편이었다
왜냐하면 그것들이
그를 만들었으니까

Wind makes waves.
Waves make wind.
Cause and effect
each becoming the cause of the other—
that is life.
In the midst of wind and wave,
the painter lifted his brush.
Both waves and wind
were on his side.
Because they were
what made him.
