말을 하는 것 같기도 하고
침묵하는 것 같기도 하다
제주에서의 대화는
말이 많지 않다
바람이 말해주고
파도가 답해주고
그 사이에 앉은 두 사람은
그저 같은 방향을 바라보면서
이미 대화가 끝났다

Two people sit facing each other.
It seems they are speaking.
It seems they are silent.
Conversations in Jeju
do not use many words.
The wind speaks.
The waves answer.
The two who sitting between them
only look in the same direction—
and the conversation is already over.
