Secret Garden
마지막 비원
서울을 떠나기 전 해
18년을 그렸다
실증이 나지 않았다
그려도 그려도
왜냐하면 비원은
완성되지 않는 곳이었다
자연은 매일 다시 시작하고
화가는 매일 다시 따라갔다
이별은 없었다
비원은 계속 거기 있을 것이고
화가는 제주로 갔다
그것뿐이었다

The last Biwon.
The year before leaving Seoul.
Eighteen years of painting.
No exhaustion.
Still, more and more.
Because Biwon
was a place that never completed.
Nature began again each day,
and the painter followed again each day.
There was no farewell.
Biwon would still be there.
The painter went to Jeju.
That was all.
