흰 집과 검은 집
White House and Black House
흰 집은 침묵했고
검은 집은 등을 돌렸다
전쟁은 끝났지만
마음은 아직 나뉘어 있었다
화가는 그 틈에
평등한 선을 하나 그었다
황토빛 담장으로
빛도 어둠도 아닌
숨 쉴 수 있는 여백처럼
선언이 아니라 떨림으로
구호가 아니라 바람으로
붓끝에 담았다
분열을 넘어선 것은
힘이 아니었다
그 사이를 흐르는
황토색 한 줄이었다

The white house kept silent.
The black house turned away.
The war had ended,
but hearts remained divided.
Into that gap
the painter drew a single equal line—
an ochre wall,
neither light nor darkness,
but breathing space.
Not a declaration, a tremor.
Not a slogan, a breeze
held at the tip of his brush.
What crossed the divide
was not force.
It was one ochre line
flowing between them.
