섬의 하루는
천천히 시작한다
해가 동쪽 바다에서 태어나고
안개가 걷히고
바람이 방향을 잡고
그제야 섬이 눈을 뜬다
화가의 하루도 그랬다
붓을 드는 것은 마지막이었다
먼저 바람을 듣고
먼저 빛을 보고
먼저 흙을 밟고 나서

A day on the island
begins slowly.
The sun is born from the eastern sea.
The mist lifts.
The wind finds its direction.
Only then does the island open its eyes.
The painter's days were the same.
Lifting the brush was last.
First, listen to the wind.
First, see the light.
First, walk on the earth.
