귀로(歸路). 돌아가는 길.
무거운 짐을 지고 걷는 사람의 뒷모습. 수평선을 등지고 우리를 향해 걸어온다. 얼굴이 없다. 그러나 그 걸음걸이만으로 그가 얼마나 멀리서 왔는지, 얼마나 오래 걸었는지를 알 수 있다.
귀로는 도착이 아니다. 또 다른 시작이다. 이 사람은 집에 가고 있는 것이 아니라, 자신에게로 가고 있다. 제주의 91×73cm 대작에 담긴 것은 한 사람의 귀환이 아니라, 인간이라는 존재의 귀환이다.

Guiro — the road home.
The back of a person walking under a heavy load. Turning away from the horizon, walking toward us. No face visible. Yet from that gait alone, you can tell how far they have come, how long they have walked.
The road home is not arrival. It is another beginning. This person is not going to a house — they are going toward themselves. What is held in this major 91×73cm Jeju work is not the return of one person, but the return of the human being itself.
