바람 불 때
형태를 잃는 것들이 있다
나뭇잎이 그렇고
머리카락이 그렇고
마음이 그렇다
그러나 바람 불 때만
볼 수 있는 것들이 있다
나무가 얼마나 깊이 뿌리내렸는지를
사람이 얼마나 강한지를
화가는 바람 부는 날을 좋아했다
진실이 드러나는 날이었으므로

When the wind blows,
some things lose their form—
leaves, and hair, and hearts.
But there are things visible only
when the wind blows:
how deeply a tree is rooted,
how strong a person is.
The painter loved windy days.
