절망
Despair
황토가 세상의 전부일 때
두 몸은 서로를 붙잡는다
쓰러지지 않으려는 것인지
함께 쓰러지려는 것인지
이미 그 경계가 없다
바람은 풀을 눕히고
하늘은 선 하나로 충분하다
저 멀리 조각배 하나가
수평선을 건너고 있다
닿을 수 있는 거리인지
아닌지도 모르면서
그러나 이 두 몸은
배를 부르지 않는다
그냥 지금
서로밖에 없는 것이다
땅은 둘 아래서
조금 더 어두워졌다
그게 다다
그게 전부다
English
When ochre is all the world contains,
two bodies hold each other.
Whether they are trying
not to fall,
or trying
to fall together —
that boundary
is already gone.
The wind lays the grass flat.
The sky needs only a single line.
Far off, a small boat
crosses the horizon.
Whether it is within reach
or not — they do not know.
But these two bodies
do not call out to it.
It is simply that right now
they have only each other.
The earth beneath them
has grown a little darker.
That is all.
That is everything.
