Wave and One-Legged Crow

English

The one-legged crow. Standing on a single foot.

One leg is not a weakness. It is this crow's way. Standing like this is the truth of this bird. On the waves, in the wind, balancing on one leg — it is simply there.

Byun Shi-Ji saw himself in this bird. Not Biwon, not Tokyo — a being that belongs completely to nowhere. Yet persisting through that incompleteness. One leg stands.
