Letter — Until It Reaches the Sky

편지 - 하늘에 닿을 떼까지

On the hill where the pine keeps watch,
a man is writing.
He sets down the weight of a heart
that words cannot carry.
Longing becomes a letter,
grows invisible wings,
and lifts toward the high sky.
The moon agrees to be its address.
The pine becomes the messenger
of what runs too deep to say.
The sky writes back in moonlight,
and folds his longing inside.
The things he could not speak
become letters without shape now —
somewhere between sky and earth,
turning, slowly,
into something that will never be sent
and never stop being written.

소나무 지키는 언덕에서
한 사내가 글을 쓴다
말로는 전할 수 없는
마음의 무게를 적어내려

그리움이 편지가 되어
보이지 않는 날개를 달고
높은 하늘을 향해 날아가니
달은 그 주소지가 되어준다

소나무는 깊은 마음 전하는 전령이 되고
하늘은 달빛으로 답장을 보내
그의 그리움을 감싸안는다

말하지 못한 이야기들이
이제 무형의 글자가 되어
하늘과 땅 사이 어딘가에서
영원한 편지가 되어간다
