Dot. A single dot.
Every painting begins with the first dot. Byun Shi-Ji painted that dot itself. Approaching eighty, the painter returned to the most simple thing. A return to the origin.
A single point rests on the boundary of the horizon.
It may be a boat.
It may be an island.
It may be a bird.
Or it may be nothing at all.
The minimum unit of existence.
That is enough.
