Passion.
Not a hot emotion.
It is something that heats slowly.
Something that does not go out.
Seventeenth year in Jeju.
The painter's passion
had lost its voice.
In exchange, it gained depth.
At first like a storm.
Later like a current.
But the same
in that it never stops.

느리게 달아오르는 것이다
꺼지지 않는 것이다
제주에 온 지 17년째
화가의 열정은
소리를 잃었다
대신 깊이를 얻었다
처음에는 폭풍처럼
나중에는 해류처럼
그러나 멈추지 않는다는 점에서
같다
