Seogwipo and Japan

Birth in Seogwipo, departure for Japan in 1931, entry into the Osaka School of Fine Arts in 1941, the Nitten and Kōfūkai.

1957–1975

Seoul

Return to Korea, the Hwashin Department Store retrospective, portraiture and the Biwon manner before the move to Jeju.

1975–2013

Jeju

A homecoming at fifty, blue Jeju, dried-grass colour, storm, black sun and the final work.
