노란 화면 위쪽의 가는 수평선이 휘고, 작은 배와 새가 멀리 떠 있다. 아래의 낮은 집과 인물, 검은 나무는 거센 움직임 속에서 땅을 붙든다.A thin horizon bends high in a yellow field, while a small boat and birds drift above a low house, figure and black tree clinging to the earth below.
수평선은 보통 세계를 안정시키지만 이 작품에서는 경계 자체가 흔들린다. 하늘과 땅을 나누는 기준이 불안해질 때 작은 인물과 집의 자세가 드러난다.
초가는 높아져 바람을 이기지 않고 낮아진다. 사람 역시 세계보다 커지려 하지 않으며 발밑의 땅을 놓지 않는다.
존엄은 흔들리는 세계를 완전히 바로잡는 힘에만 있지 않다. 자신이 작다는 사실을 받아들이면서도 공중으로 떠밀려가지 않는 데 있다.
